Bus Stopper Exhibition - 2021

Over 14 days, 23 emerging young artists showcase their work across 65 of the city’s bus shelters.

The city’s bus shelters are set to be transformed into vibrant urban exhibition spaces as part of the City of Gold Coast’s annual public art program, Level Up bus stopper.

The pop-up art project which runs from 7 to 20 June 2021 will showcase 23 of the Gold Coast’s most talented young and emerging local artists with an exhibition that can be seen right across the city.

Exhibiting artists have utilised sculpture, photography, painting, digital media and installation, to explore a diverse range of concepts. Abstract illustrations, found objects and self-portraiture have been used to investigate themes of identity, physical and virtual landscapes, and environmental concerns.
